Travel Vaccinations

Are you planning a holiday abroad?

If you are, we ask that you check with your travel agent, or look on an appropriate website to find out which travel vaccines you require.

For ALL travel vaccinations you are advised to visit a Travel Centre Clinic. Please note, some vaccinations will incur a charge.

If you do require vaccinations for:

  •     Typhoid
  •     Hepatitis A
  •     Tetanus
  •     Polio
  •     Diptheria
  •     Cholera

Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse as they are currently free of charge on the NHS

These vaccines have to be ordered. So your appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

For vaccination information we suggest:

 NaTHNaC (travelhealthpro.org.uk)  or  masta-travel-health.com

For those vaccinations not provided free on the NHS, patients can visit Boots (Hayle and Truro branches) or Drury’s Pharmacy in Newquay.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Europe Europe & Russia North America North America
Central America Central America South America South America
Caribbean Caribbean Africa Africa
Middle East Middle East Central Asia Central Asia
East Asia East Asia Australasia Australasia and Pacific

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
